Genshin Impacthas revealed the first character teaser for the upcoming Dendro user Baizhu. He has already been confirmed to appear on a Limited Character Banner in the second part of the ongoing update 3.6 which will also introduce a new four-star character named Kaveh.
Baizhu has been part of the game since the early Liyue Archon quests back in 2020. Despite being the oldest known Dendro user inGenshin Impact, HoYoverse did not feature this character in the first couple of Sumeru updates. The main reason for this is probably that Baizhu does not have a lot of connections to the Sumeru region, and it would’ve been hard to incorporate him into the region’s main story arc.

Genshin Impacthas a pattern of releasing various promotional videos for their new characters a couple of days before their official arrival. The game’s main YouTube channel has posted the first teaser video for theupcoming Dendro user Baizhu. Baizhu is known as the owner of the Bubu Pharmacy which can be found in the northern part of Liyue Harbor. The video shows Baizhu handing out prescriptions for various cures to the people of Liyue. His official bio has revealed that Baizhu suffers from a disease that has no cure which is the reason why his skin is so pale compared to most other characters. Despite being in constant pain and poor physical condition, Baizhu is dedicated to curing everyone that visits his pharmacy.
One of the previous trailer videos has revealed that he even cured one of the most popular characters in Liyue, the Anemo user Xiao.Genshin Impact’s recent 3.6 live stream eventhas confirmed previous rumors about Baizhu being a healer. According to this preview, Baizhu’s Elemental Burst, Holistic Revivification, allows him to enter a special state called Pulsing Clarity which allows him to create one of the most powerful shields in the game that has various effects.
The shield will provide a healing effect to the active character based on Baizhu’s max. HP and it will regenerate itself every 2.5 seconds.Baizhu’s Elemental Skill, Universal Diagnosis, allows him to send a Gossamer Sprite that cruises and deals Dendro damage to nearby enemies. After performing three attacks, the sprite will return and heal nearby party members.
Baizhu will be the first five-star Dendro healerwhich could make him a valuable part of any team composition that relies on this specific element. He is scheduled to arrive alongside the four-star character Kaveh around May 2.
