A newGenshin Impactleak is teasing a major quality-of-life update coming with the release of Version 3.7, aiming to make using Gadgets easier for players. Since the launch of HoYoverse’s massively popular RPG in September 2020, the developer has often looked for ways to make the gameplay experience easier for fans. Artifact re-rolling was a popular addition to the game and has since been expanded on to include more options for players to moreeasily acquire better Artifactsfor their characters. Now, a new update would look to ease the Gadget-swapping process.
Gadgets have been an integral part ofGenshin Impact’s gameplay since early on in the game’s life. The usable devices offer a wide range of utility including items that increase the player’s gliding speed, help with finding treasures and the game’s Oculi collectibles, and quick access to cooking and food items. The devices have even served more fun elements including the multiple “Kamera” gadgets, as well as several musical instruments players can play. Now, HoYoverse is looking to make it easier for players to alternate between different Gadgets.

A recent leak from reputableGenshin Impactleaker HomDGCat has revealed a new feature set to be implemented inGenshin Impact’s Version 3.7 update. The post details a “Quick Change” bar for Gadgets accessible while playing the game, giving players four options of Gadgets to cycle through. The option will operate similarly toGenshin Impact’s pre-existing menu systems, allowing players to quickly swap their Gadgets without needing to access their inventory. The update even teases a way for players to substitute the quick access Gadgets with others in their inventory.
A new change toGenshin Impact’s Gadget system would come as the handy devices have increasingly been utilized throughout the game’s story and quests. The Vintage Lyre played a major role in both the Aranara questline for Sumeru and the overworld for the region, with different songs on the Lyre activating exploration mechanics. Other Gadgets likethe “Boon of the Elder Tree"allow players useful tools for exploration, quickly gathering wood from nearby trees. The ability to quick-swap Gadgets without accessing the inventory has long been a request fromGenshin Impactplayers.
A quick swap system for Gadgets will likely prove highly useful to players following the arrival ofGenshin Impact’s next major region, Fontaine. Sumeru already heavily used Gadgets throughout its exploration and Fontaine is expected to follow suit when it releases later this year. Fontaine has already seen several teasers about its content, includingunderwater mechanics and water-based puzzlesfor the domain of the Hydro Archon.Genshin Impactplayers should look to see a major improvement to their exploration with the introduction of quick-swapping Gadgets.
