A newGenshin Impactleak gives more information about the release date for three characters, Dehya, Baizhu, and Alhaitham. Leaks and rumors are very popular in the game’s community, and they hint at the arrival of a new character months before they officially join the roster.
All of these characters have made a couple of appearances inGenshin Impact’s official story. Dehya and Alhaitham are from Sumeru, while Baizhu is part of the Liyue nation which could mean that the story will head back to the Geo region in a couple of updates.

According to the popular leaker named SaveYourPrimos, Dehya could arrive in update 3.5, Baizhu is scheduled for 3.6 and Alhaitham will be placed in 3.7 or 3.8 which should be the last Sumeru updates before a new region arrives. So far, all three characters have made multiple appearances in the main story as quest-exclusive NPCs. Dehya is a popular mercenary of Eremites who seems to be very dedicated to her job and she would never betray the people who hire her. She is apparently very good friends with another playable character named Candace who is part of theongoing Cyno and Venti double banner.
When it comes to her weapon type, Dehya is confirmed to be a five-star claymore character who has the ability to control the Pyro element. The combination of her weapon and element led many players to believe that she could be a strongDPS character inGenshin Impact.Unlike all the other characters mentioned in the leak, Baizhu has been a part of the game for a very long time. He appeared during a couple of important quests in the Liyue region.
He is the owner of the famous Bubu Pharmacy located in Liyue Harbor which allows players to buy various sets of important items. Baizhu was the first character in the game to appear equipped with a Dendro Vision which is why many expected that he will be thefirst Dendro character to join the playable roster. However, the fact that he is from Liyue is probably the main reason why his release date is so delayed compared to other Dendro users.
According to a big part of the player base, Alhaitham is the most mysterious character in the whole Sumeru storyline and many fans expect a twist when it comes to his character development. At the moment, he serves as a member of the Haravatat of the Sumeru Academya. He lives with apopular architect named Kavehwho is also expected to become a playable character in the future.
Genshin Impactis now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
