Player Mistakes

Back to All Characters

It’s always pleasant whenGenshin Impactbestows a free character when a notable feature arrives. For instance, when Sumeru drops with Dendro Element, the game offers a free Collei on top of the Dendro Traveler, which ensures no one is missing out on Dendro Elemental Reactions. Afterward, when Fontaine arrives with the Pneumousia mechanic, Lynette and Hydro Traveler are available as two F2P characters that carry this energy.

Not utilizing Lynette’s Arkhe is among the few mistakes players can do while using her inGenshin Impact. Other than that, here are a few other notable things people need to keep in mind.

5Playing Her Before Getting Her Constellations

With how many good characters there are out there, it’s hard for new characters to compete with them, especially the 4-star ones. Lynette suffers from having her entire potential hidden behind herConstellations inGenshin Impact. Anemo characters are known for their high crowd control unless they’re heavy on DPS like Wanderer. With Lynette, she gets her crowd control on her C1.

It’s also hard for Lynette to trigger Swirl reactions due to her Elemental Skill having a long cooldown, which is also solved by her C4 which gives her another charge for her Skill. Her C6, however, is where she gets to be a whole and her kit is complete. C6 Lynette is able to continuously apply Anemo and function properly as a Sub-DPS.

4Not Knowing Her Role

Even though getting Lynette’s Constellations might persuade some players to operate her as a Main DPS, it’s not advised sinceher damage is on the underwhelming side inGenshin Impact. To take full advantage of Lynette, players can build her to be a Sub-DPS/Support where she is able to shred enemies’ resistance with the help of Viridescent Venerer and deal acceptable damage for a quick swap unit. That allows players to fully utilize her Elemental Skill and Burst within the few seconds she gets to stay on the field before she bounces out for another unit to continue upon what she built.

3Building Her With The Wrong Weapon

There are multiple ways to playAnemo users inGenshin Impactand their roles in combat are majorly affected by what kind of build they have. Players can either use them for CC, damage, or shredding enemies’ resistance. One of the aspects of building characters is choosing their weapon; and whether a character is Offensive or Supportive, it’s better to have their weapon help in that regard.

In the case of Lynette, there are not a lot of Swords that work with her Kit since giving her offensive weapons isn’t as effective as improving her Supportive stats like Energy Recharge.Weapons like Freedom-Sworn and Sacrificial Sword are great for Lynette’s kitsince the first enhances her ability to buff her team’s ATK% and damage while Sacrificial allows her to Skill again, which is where most of her usefulness comes from.

2Comparing Her To Sucrose Or Kazuha

It’s no secret that Lynette’s Kit is very similar to Sucrose inGenshin Impact. But that similarity is only viable with the way they attack and move during combat. Other than that, Sucrose is more efficient and operates perfectly as anAnemo Support inGenshin Impact.

Sucrose offers easy AoE debuffing attacks with Viridescent Venerer, crowd control with her Skill/Burst, and a crazy Elemental Mastery buff that still puts her among the best Supports in the game to this day. While Lynette is good on her own, it’s very hard for her to compete with Sucrose’s fancy kit.

1Not Using Her In Fontaine

While exploringFontaine inGenshin Impact, it’s common for players to run across puzzles and quests that can’t be done without using a specific mechanic new to Fontaine that is only viable for Fontaine characters alongside the Traveler.

To put it simply, the mechanic consists of two new energies,Ousia and Pneuma. Pneuma is usually visible in a yellow aura while Ousia is in a purple one. When the object or enemy is beaming one of the auras, players must attack it with the opposite energy to neutralize it. That’s the reason why once players reach Adventure Rank 25, they will obtain Lynette for free for the purpose of being able to explore Fontaine more easily. Lynette has the Ousia Arkhe, while Hydro Traveler has Pneuma, so the game provides F2P options for easier puzzle-solving experience. Of course, players don’t have to use the two if they don’t like the characters. In this case, people will need to manually pick up the Pneuma and Ousia energy block whenever they’re required to solve a puzzle.

Fontaine Emblem Final

However, the more crucial thing is when players are fighting enemies with this energy. Picking up blocks can be inconvenient mid-fight, especially in the Spiral Abyss. In this case, Lyney and Lynette will give a massive improvement in the battle experience. It’s also vital to know how players can activate each character’s Arkhe. In Lynette’s case, her Ousia comes from her Elemental Skill. Meanwhile, Lyney launches his Pneuma attack from his Charged Attack.
