Player Mistakes
Back to All Characters
Genshin Impact’sGaming, a character who was the subject of much ridicule due to his English localized name (it’s actually pronounced more likeGya-ming),is a Pyro claymore character from Liyue. He has a fascinating thematic design, with motifs of Liyue’s cultural Wushu Dance. This theme ties into the animations for his attacks, too!
Players who have taken a liking to Gaming should be aware of the materials needed to ascend him and level up his talents. As a Pyro character, he’ll use Agnidus Agate, but he’ll also need several other items from around Teyvat.

Gemstones - Where to Find Agnidus Agate
Agnidus Agate is the red gemstone used by all Pyro charactes in their ascension. It can be obtained in a few ways, but farming bosses is the most reliable method. These bosses and trounce challenges can drop Agnidus Agate upon defeat:
*Azhdaha and the Primo Geovishap can only drop Agnidus Agate when they’re aligned with Pyro.

Local Specialty - Starconch Locations
For a long time, only Childe used Starconch to ascend. Eventually, Yelan joined him, and now, Gaming has too. The Wushu dancer will need these strange blue shells to ascend, being his necessary local specialty. They can be found dotted along the beaches of Liyue, especially north of Liyue Harbor and up toward the base of Dragonspine.

Enemy Drop - Where to Find Slime Drops
The enemy drops used in Gaming’s ascension are Slime Condensate, Slime Secretions, and Slime Concentrate, all dropped by Slimes, of course. Slimes are found basically everywhere with ease, but players who need a more direct farming route guide canclick here.
Take note that higher-level Slimes can drop better quality items:
Boss Drop - How to Get Emperor’s Resolution
Despite his deep ties to the traditions and culture of Liyue, Gaming strangely uses a boss drop from Fontaine. This is the Emperor’s Resolution, dropped by the Emperor of Fire and Iron, who resides under Poisson.
Though this is one of the easier bosses, it’s pretty resistant to Pyro, so Gaming is not a great choice to bring into battle. Opt for Hydro characters instead, as they can take this boss down quickly.

Talent Books - Prosperity
The talent book series that Gaming uses is Liyue’s Prosperity books, much like Shenhe, Xiao, and others. These books can be obtained by clearing the Taishan Mansion domain on Monday, Thursday, or Sunday.
Trounce Materials - Lightless Mass
Like his regular boss drop, Gaming needs to make a trip to Fontaine for his trounce boss talent material, too. He’ll need the Lightless Mass, which can only be obtained by defeating the All-Devouring Narwhal in the Shadow of Another World domain.
