Call of Duty: Warzonereceived its Season 4 Reloaded update recently. The update has brought numerous changes and new content toCall of Duty: Warzone, but it has also seen one of the battle royale’s most notorious bugs returning yet again.
Call of Duty: Warzonehas had an ongoing battle with a variety of bugs ever since it launched. The bugs have taken a wide variety of shapes over the game’s numerous updates, including players recentlybeing able to parachute intoCall of Duty: Warzone’s Gulagand disrupt the fights taking place there. Now, players are reporting witnessing the return ofCall of Duty: Warzone’s notorious invisibility bug.

Quickly after the release of Season 4 Reloaded, players started reporting and sharing clips of getting killed by invisible enemies with no way to counter it. One example was posted to the game’s subreddit by Reddit user jonhew93. In the clip, jonhew93 can clearly hear the footsteps of an enemy but is having a hard time locating them. Eventually, the invisible player runs up to jonhew93 before quickly killing him with a few melee hits and some gunfire. The glitch returns shortly after some of the game’s biggest players likeDr Disrespect recently criticized the developers ofCall of Duty: Warzone.
Needless to say, the return of the bug has not been met very well by the battle royale’s community. The clip from jonhew93 has received numerous comments where players have vented their frustration about the return of the glitch andCall of Duty: Warzone’s legacy with bugs overall. Some commentators are sarcastically pointing out that while the bug has returned at least there are new skins for players to buy in the store, while Reddit user Lma0-Zedong has commented reported that there are four total ways to initiate an invisibility bug. WhileActivision has recently taken action againstCall of Duty: Warzonecheaters, it seems there is still a long way to go.
It is unfortunate to seeCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers having to deal with the returning invisibility glitch yet again. Season 4 Reloaded brought a lot of changes to the game, including amassive overhaul ofCall of Duty: Warzone’s gun balance, but the return of such high-profile bugs could potentially overshadow any positive changes brought by the update. Hopefully, developer Raven Software will be able to figure the bug out quickly and get rid of it for good this time.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
