How to Mark Weapons of Different Rarities in Fortnite
One ofFortnite’s Week 5 quests requires players to mark weapons of different rarities, which includes the five main types: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Otherwise known by their colors; white, green, blue, purple, and gold, players simply must tag each rarity.
However, before that, players must first establish a device uplink near a Seven Outpost. With that in mind, and with players likely in need of an Upgrade Bench to get a Legendary, one of thebest possible starting locations for this quest is the outpost found just south of Condo Canyon.
Once players have established the device uplink, they can then begin marking different weapon rarities. Now thatCondo Canyon is no longer a battleground, the POI makes for a prime location to seek out whatever rarities weren’t found at the Seven Outpost below.
With plenty of chests everywhere, completing most of the quest should be fairly easy. However, if players are having a hard time finding some higher weapon rarities, they can always use Condo Canyon’s Upgrade Bench, which can be found in the northwest corner.
It’s advisable to try to find as many weapon rarities as possible naturally, as upgrading can become quite expensive. Players may also discover the game’s all-new shotgun when completing this quest. Part ofFortnite’s new 20.20 update, the Ranger Shotgun features a much longer range than most of the weapon type, with a single-round clip capable of dealing out devastating amounts of damage.
The update also adds a new conflict with the IO at Coney Crossroads, as well as a new item vote between the Boogie Bomb and Rift-To-Go.
Fortnite’s quest of marking weapons of different rarities is the last of the Week 5 Resistance quests, so players will need to complete the others prior to tackling this one.
There may soon be another weapon to mark if a particular leak proves to be true. According to the leak,Star Wars' Lightsabers are expected to returnfor at least May the 4th, if not longer.
Fortniteis free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
