Gamers can also expectForspoken, a game that has faced plenty of delays but shows lots of potential thanks to its interesting traversal system and its use of magic.
Among many of the features shown, gamers have gotten a brief look at Breakstorms, which are one of the many dangers they will face. If Frey wishes to escape Athia and get back to regular life, she will have to learn how to survive Breakstorms no matter how fierce they become. With how many enemies they throw at gamers, Breakstorms could be one of the most difficult parts ofForspoken.

What Are the Breakstorms of Forspoken?
Frey Holland is a New York native, but she is transported to the magical world of Athia which she must survive if she wishes to find her way back home. All is not well in Athia, as it is currently under the control of the Tantas, who are sorceresses who were once beloved but have since grown malevolent. Additionally, Athia is under the grip of a force known as the Break, which twists everything it touches into a corrupted version of itself - though quite strangely, Frey is not affected by it. To make it back home, Frey will have to defeat the Tantas.
In Athia, gamers will be free to explore the landscape, and this is made easy throughFrey’s magical abilitieswhich allow her to zip across the map at breakneck speeds. Plenty of treacherous obstacles await, however, and one of the dangers Frey may encounter are Breakstorms, which are a kind of fog that sweeps across Athia. If Frey runs into a Breakstorm, she will find herself facing off against hordes of enemies, including some of the deadliest foes, such as the Jabberwock. If she manages to endure the onslaught, she will also have to defeat a final boss character that will test her skills.
According to developers, Breakstorms will come with rewards for players to make the challenge worth it. Fortunately, Frey will also have plenty at her disposal to help her thwart the enemies that are thrown at her in Breakstorms, and trailers have shown her using magic powers against enemies by sending out enormous shockwaves and shooting bullet-like projectiles from her hand. She will also have a few friends at her side to help learn more about Athia and her own magic powers. This includesFrey’s talking bangle named Cuff, Johedy the archivist, and Auden, who is a kind woman.
Forspoken Is Almost Here
WhenForspokenwas first shown to the world in 2020, it went by the name Project Athia, and gamers knew barely anything about it, though it showed plenty of potential. Interest in the game only increased when it was discovered that big names likeAmy Hennig, Gary Whitta, and Bear McCreary were involved with the project and that it is being developed by the same team that was behindFinal Fantasy 15. It was originally slated for a May 24 release this year, but the game has been continually pushed back, with the latest delay moving it from October 2022 to January 2023. Hopefully, the delays ensure that gamers get the best game possible after the long wait.
Breakstorms are just one of the many dangers that Frey will encounter in Athia, and she will have to master her magic powers to stay alive. ThoughForspokenappears to embrace the Isekai genre, it also is putting its own unique twist on things, and it will be interesting to see how this will play out in Frey’s story. With writers like Hennig at the helm, it is certain to be a memorable experience.
