Sharing on theFinal Fantasy 7 RemakesubReddit, user JoergenFS posted a photo of a truck that they spotted on the street. At first glance, the truck looks like any other typical one, butFF7fans would likely recognize the vehicle from when the gang of Cloud, Red 13, Tifa, Aerith, and Barrett escape from the Shinra building in Midgar. The van has the same light green color, complete with the open space in the back, just like a pick-up truck.
Many of the commenters on the Reddit thread expressed their joy in seeing the photo. Some even joked thatCloud Strife’s signature Hardy Daytonahad been replaced by a bicycle, given that there was one in the back of the photographed truck. One hardcoreFF7van even mentioned that the real-life truck had too many wheels, given that the originalFinal Fantasy 7version only had one wheel in the front.
Nevertheless, such photos and reactions by the game’s community provides a good indication of how deeply ingrained the title is in its fans’ hearts. And it seems Square Enix knows this, as it continues to provide more incentive for players to keep patronizing anyFF7content that it produces. With the hype fromIntergrademost likely diminishing soon, hopefully the developers share moreinformation aboutFinal Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2, to sustain fan engagement and activity.
