World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classicplayers can finally get Paid Faction Changes on the Battle.net store. Though the service is staying inWorld of Warcraft Classicindefinitely, players can currently get Paid Faction Changes at a discounted rate.
The Paid Faction Change service allows a character to swap between the Alliance to the Horde, changing to one of the faction’s eligible races in the process. While this service was originally unavailable in the retro servers,World of Warcrafthas officially added Paid Faction Change forWrath of the Lich King Classic.ClassicEra andSeason of Mastery characters inWoWwill still be unable to utilize this service.

Until February 27, players can save 30% on the Paid Faction Change service. One token is available for $21 instead of $30, and a pack of three can be bought for $42 instead of $60. During this time period, players buying the $95 six-pack receive an additional two Faction Changes for a total of eight. These Paid Faction Change tokens can be saved for later use.
Previously,Wrath of the Lich King Classicwasn’t going to addRace and Faction Change. It did not want to trivialize race choice and feared players might change factions for flippant reasons, like cherry-picking racial traits and abilities for raids. However, it has since walked back that decision, deciding it is more important to be able to play with friends. The same-faction Paid Race Change service has not yet been added to the Battle.net shop forWrath of the Lich King Classic, but players can expect it to arrive soon.
Many players are relieved to seeWorld of Warcraftadding Paid Faction Changes toWrath of the Lich King Classic. WhileClassicwas originally all about preserving VanillaWoWas it was, few players mind that its “No Changes” policy has gradually evolved into “Some Changes” over time–and those that don’t want this change still have theClassicEra servers. Many players are eagerly awaiting the Paid Race Change service, and hope it is added soon.
World of Warcraftjust recently launchedSecrets of Ulduaron theWrath of the Lich King Classicservers. This famous patch added one of the most iconic raids toWorld of Warcraftand set the stage forWrath of the Lich King’sTrial of the Crusader, which players can expect in the next few months. Once players are finished assaulting the ancient Titan facility and defeating the Old God Yogg-Saron, they shouldn’t have to wait long for the nextWrath of the Lich King Classicraid to launch.
