Confirmed Areas In Hollow Knight: Silksong

So far, there are fiveareas in Pharloom whose names have been confirmed: Moss Grotto, Deep Docks, Greymoor, The Citadel, and The Marrow. Out of these areas, the first two are the ones that fans have had the most chance to examine.

The Moss Grotto is the first area that Hornet will be exploring as she reaches Pharloom. It is located at the bottom of Pharloom, and it is the place where Hornet breaks free from her encasement. The Moss Grotto has points of interest where Hornet can obtain Rosaries or Silk Flowers, but most importantly, it has a sub-area called the Old Church. The Old Church is reached afterHornet defeats the first boss, and it is inhabited by the Church Keeper.

Another early area inHollow Knight: Silksongis Deep Docks, which seems like an industrialized area. In that sense, fans ofHollow Knightmay find it similar to the Crystal Peaks. Some of theNPCs that can be found in the Deep Docksare the Forge Daughter, who will be helping Hornet craft her tools, and the already famous boss Lace. Just as the Moss Grotto, the Deep Docks has a sub-area called Wind Songshrine.

There are not as many confirmed details for the other areas. However, it seems like Greymoor is one of the biggest areas Team Cherry has designed, which is bound to make for an interesting landscape. The Marrow seems to be similar to the StagwaysfromHollow Knightand is also one of the earliest areas Hornet will get to visit. Finally, The Citadel will probably be one of the most important locations forHollow Knight: Silksongin terms of narrative and, although there are not many details out yet, it has been described as a “holy” place.

Unconfirmed Areas In Hollow Knight: Silksong

Fans have been able to spot otherareas inHollow Knight: Silksong, but the names are yet to be confirmed. However, fans have identified these other areas as Team Cherry has mentioned the names in the official announcement.

One of the areas has a mostly blue and pink background reminiscent of a coral reef that has been identified as the Coral Forest. It seems somewhatsimilar to the Fog Canyon inHollow Knightin terms of ambiance, as both appear to have an underwater theme. There is also a lava-filled area which has been called Lake of Fire or Boneforest, and it will see Hornet face off with one of the biggest NPCs in the game. Finally, there is the Gilded City, which is characterized as having many more ornaments than the other areas.

There are some other locales that have been revealed so far, but fans have yet to decipher the name of these locations. One of these is an arena whereHornet will be facing Lace, and it seems to be filled with white flowers. There is also the opera-like scenario where Hornet fights against Hunter Queen Carmelita. Another interesting location is a room covered in silk which has a mask on the background resembling that of The Weavers which is Hornet’s tribe. For now,Hollow Knightfans will need to remain patient until Team Cherry reveals some more information on these areas.
