Homeworld: Deserts of Kharakis aground-based real-time strategy gamethat serves as a prequel to the typically space-set RTS series. In this title, players must battle across the shifting sands of Kharak to discover Rachel S’jet’s long-reaching destiny. Players will do so with massive fleets, extensive environments, tactical combat, and online multiplayer, should they wish. Its addition to theEpic Games Storeshould ensure a nice little bump in the player base, but strategy games aren’t for everyone. Luckily for them, it’s not a long wait until the next title drops.

InCave Story, players will take on the role of a young amnesiac boy who discovers the Mimigas, cute rabbit-like creatures, have been captured by a mad scientist. Players set out on a quest to save them and discover their past. The gameplay is pretty straightforward, as for the most part, players are capable of running, jumping, shooting, and flying. On top of that, players can expect a variety ofgameplay modes like a Boss Rush, a plethora of bosses, a handful of levels, 10 unique weapons, and four unique endings, depending on how players tackle the title.
Epic Games Store August List: Free Games
The addition ofHomeworldandCave Story+ensure players are getting the best of two worlds: a much-loved strategy game and a much-lovedclassic-style indie game. It ultimately remains to see how they are well-received, but the sheer variety between the two should be applauded.
TheEpic Games Store’s August 24 addition ofHomeworld: Deserts of Kharakalso means it’s the last game of the month (beyond one day), but fans have plenty to look forward to in September. Even if the new selection also doesn’t scratch the right itch for players, then fans know that EGS will rotate in another game(s) on September 7. Usually in these cases, a little patience is rewarded, but while some fans may need a little patience, it’s clear some are off to the races with the latest and upcoming additions.
