Armor and weapons play a crucial role inESOgameplay. As a newer player, it can seem intimidating to solo dungeons and arenas for higher-ranked gear. However, there are a number of ways to get very good armor sets and weapons withoutsetting foot in high-level dungeons.

As soon as gamers hop into the game, they can set out to pick up these sets and weapons. Whether players use light, medium, or heavy armor, they can get viable items without crafting, smithing, or tailoring. With a bit of forethought, players will have an easy time getting themselves a good set of gear.

Starter Zones: Bleakrock Wayshrine, Khenarthi’s Roost Wayshrine, and Port Hunding Wayshrine

In each of these zones, there is a base starter set called the Armor of the Trainee. No matter which zone gamers are in, they can pick up pieces of the set by doing a couple of things. Random treasure chests have a chance to drop them, and low-level enemies do as well.

Starter dungeons in these locations will almost always have a few enemies/chests that drop the pieces. Because the Trainee set is the only set that drops in these zones, collecting all of the pieces should not take too much time. The set will drop as a light, medium, and heavy armor as well, making it an option for any class.

Quests And Side Quests

Bethesda included dozens of easy quests for newcomers in the starting zones. Most, if not all of the quests will reward a piece of the Trainee set or another unique item. Actively seeking out the mage and starter quests is one of the most efficient ways to get a decent set inESO.

Light Armor Set: Spinner’s Garments

The light armor set is perfect for early-gamemage builds. The pieces for the set can be found in various locations throughout  Malabal Tor. Gamers will have the best chance of finding parts of the set by completing delves and public dungeons.

Although, chests and random enemies have a chance to drop the item.Casters will notice vast improvementswhen using the Spinner’s Garments set. With a full set, players will gain 2,000 Magika, 129 spell damage, and 3,450 spell penetration.

Medium Armor Set: Shadow Of The Red Mountain

Forstamina-based builds, the Shadow of the Red Mountain set is an amazing starter set. This set will add damage, 1000 stamina, and critical chance to any build. With the complete set, it also has a chance to trigger a flame attack that deals 8400 damage. Any enemy in the Stonefalls area has a chance to drop the set pieces, but gamers will have a better chance of picking them up in public dungeons on the map.

Heavy Armor Set: Akaviri Dragonguard

Tanks will want to pick up this armor set in Eastmarch. Now that the zone is battle-leveled, anyone will be able to explore it. Delve bosses and Overlord bosses have a high chance of dropping a unique piece in the armor set. All monsters and chests have a chance to contain one of the pieces in the set as well.

Even some of the main quests will reward gamers with an Akaviri set piece. As a new or returning player, the Akaviri set is one of the most accessible in the game. It increases Magika recovery, healing received, and maximum health. A full set provides a cooldown buff to the character’s ultimate too.

Weapons

There are far too many weapons inESOto focus on specific weapons, but there are a few different ways to get upgraded weapons very early on.ESOweapons can be crafted, so gamers can grind out crafting at lower levels to get top-level weapons at the beginning of a playthrough. However, leveling up crafting will take some time and can be tedious. For most people, finding these items while exploring the various maps will be preferable.

Quests and side quests commonly offer weapons and rewards for those that do not like farming for items. Killing random enemies is always an option, but the drop chances of viable weapons are quite low. Like the armor sets above, Delves and public dungeons are the best bets for solid beginner loot.

Now that the original maps are battle-leveled, essentially all of the activities that drop good weapons are accessible to players with basic items. Those that do not have a dedicated squad can find a group and play the lower-level dungeons on the maps mentioned above. As they level up, new players can get great gear in the following locations.
