OneElden Ringgamer finds something unexpected in the Siofra River Well region.Elden Ringhas an enormous open world comprising various landscapes, including the snowy Mountaintops of The Giants, the treacherousterrain of Caelid, and the dangerously beautiful lands of Liurnia of The Lakes. Furthermore,Elden Ring’s open world is designed to reward players for exploring the unknown.Elden Ringplayers begin their journey in Limgrave, an area full of valleys, shallow rivers, and the dense forests of Mistwood.
AsElden Ringplayers venture deep into Mistwood, they’ll encounter a structure in the middle of the forest called the Siofra River Well. This building is a gateway to a new underground region called the Siofra River. Even though it is not necessary to visit this area to complete the main campaign, Siofra River is crucial for side quests of prominentElden RingNPCslike Ranni The Witch and Blaidd. Gamers need to travel via a lift in the well to access the underground region and continue their adventure. Usually, players are safe from enemies in this lift, but oneElden Ringfan would disagree.

Reddit user crispixel discovered a nasty surprise while using the lift in theSiofra River Well ofElden Ring. They uploaded a video on theElden Ringsubreddit showing their character in the lift when they witnessed an unexpected incident. After a few seconds into descent, a bear suddenly falls on top of theElden Ringplayer, causing a similar effect to a terrifying jump scare from a horror movie. Luckily, the bear dies from fall damage but lets out a ghastly scream, further intensifying the scary environment.
Thankfully, crispixel was unharmed after this ordeal but was genuinely frightened, as seen by the video’s title. Moreover, theElden Ringcommunity on Reddit sympathized with the original poster, while some wondered what would happen if the bear hadn’t died. Some users jokingly said thatElden Ringplayers should take legal action against FromSoftware for what happened in the aforementioned video. Crispixel’s video shows thatElden Ringgamers must always be on their toes during their adventures in The Lands Between.
The bear in the footage possibly followed the player from its natural habitat in nearby Mistwood and fell through the lift’s opening, ultimately causing a dramatic scene. Besides Mistwood in Limgrave, bears are found in several otherlocations inElden Ring, including Weeping Peninsula, Moonlight Altar, Altus Plateau, and Capital Outskirts. These bears aren’t as dangerous as Runebears but can seriously threaten low-level players with low HP.
Elden Ringis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
