To keep fans engaged, Niantic highlights one particular Pokemon every Tuesday that trainers will be able to find in the wild more often. These are calledSpotlight Hours, which always happen onTuesdays from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. That’s right, these events happen weekly but only last for an hour, so be sure to take advantage.
For the July 23 Spotlight Hour inPokemon GO, the featured Pokemon is a Ground-type from the Kanto region, Diglett. Also highlighted for the hour is theAlolan variant of Diglett. The two things that set it apart from its Kantonian counterpart are three little hairs on its head and itsdual-typing of Steel and Ground.

Pokemon GO: Diglett Spotlight Hour Time And Bonuses
As we mentioned in the opener,Diglett and Alolan Diglett will spawn more oftenduring the July 23 Spotlight Hour inPokemon GO, from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. And the big bonus this time around isdouble evolution XP.
This means that if you catch a bunch of Diglett and then evolve them in the menu into its evolution, Dugtrio, players will get extra experience points towards their level.Diglett and Alolan Diglett will evolve into Dugtrio after being fed 50 Diglett Candy.

You can get even more Candy during the Spotlight Hour if youuse Pinap Berries on Diglett before catching it with a Poke Ball. To help out even more, you can also place a Lure Module on a PokeStop near you. This will attract more Pokemon to the location for 30 minutes, benefiting other players. This way, there’s bound to be Diglett all over the place.
