Resource management is one of the main problems players need to solve when building their characters inDiablo 4. There are a multitude of special effects that can help with this issue, and Legendary Aspects are often the most impactful when it comes to regenerating a character’s primary resource.

The Flesh-Rending Aspect is one such legendary power that’s designed specifically for Necromancers inDiablo 4. It has a bit of a niche use case, but it does its job very well, especially for Summoners who relyon unholy amounts of Corpsesto get their abilities going. Here’s how to get this Legendary Aspect.
How to Get the Flesh-Rending Aspect in Diablo 4
The Flesh-Rending Aspect can be unlocked in the Codex of Power by completing the Nostrava Deepwood dungeon in the Fractured Peaks. Keep in mind that any legendary effect from the codex will always be at its weakest potential, which means players will need to farm for rings if they want stronger versions of them.
Nostrava Deepwoodisn’t a particularly difficult dungeon to clear, but can be time-consuming. It can be found in the Pallid Glade sub-region west of Kyovashad, and players will mostly encounter beasts and skeletons inside of it. It features the same outdoor woodland dungeon layout that Maulwood has, so expect to fight in spacious plots of land surrounded by patches of shrubs and trees.

This dungeon involves clearing mobs and taking down several Treebones. The huge spaces in between monster packs mean there’s going to be a lot of walking here, so consider having movement speed-boosting items and passives. Tag any shrine along the way as well for a bump in swiftness that lasts for as long as their effect is active.
What Does the Flesh-Rending Aspect Do?
When equipped, the Flesh-Rending Aspect makes Decompose grant 20-40 Essence whenever it creates a Corpse. Since the skill generates Corpses every two seconds, the Legendary Aspect basically increases Decompose’s Essence generation by an additional 10-20 Essence per second.
This is especiallyuseful for minion buildsthat also use big Essence spenders like Blood Surge, Bone Spear, and Bone Spirit. Decompose forces Necromancers to stay still when casting, so having a crew of skeletons or a Bone Golem to take aggro for them is almost mandatory. Thankfully, the skill has upgrades that either slow enemies down significantly or increase the damage they take from minions.

Combine Flesh-Rending with the Rotting Aspect for a chance to spawn up to two additional Corpses every couple of seconds. Then, consume the Corpses with Raise Skeleton or Corpse Explosion to gain even more Essence, assuming skill points have been invested into the Grim Harvest passive.
