Updated Jul 16, 2025:Another week has come forDestiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. The second and final week ofDestiny 2’s Solstice eventhas arrived, giving players one last chance to acquire the special gear for 2025. Without the Bonfire Bash activity, players have been adding special Solar-specific mods to their Portal activities, while also unlocking new rewards from the Event Home track.
Alongside Solstice, Bungie continues to keep the game updated, attempting to address the outstanding issues still impacting the experience for players. Earlier in August,Bungie released a newDestiny 2updatethat squashed a host of bugs and other issues, including one frustrating instance that saw players unable to sprint while playing in Crucible modes.
TheDestiny 2weekly reset has also returned, bringing with it the usual refreshed content, activities, and rewards for players to chase over the next week. The Portal Updates
Nightfall Strikes in The Edge of Fateare now on a daily rotation, including all strikes and Battlegrounds. Legacy rewards are on a knockout list, so players can take on Fireteam, Solo, and Pinnacle ops via the Portal to earn gear they don’t yet have on completion. Grandmaster matchmaking is available in the Portal as of August 5.
Players can also find Nightfall weapons with the weekend merchant Xur on occasion as well. Make sure to check ourweekly guideto see what Xur has on Friday at reset.
