The Incisor is a Legendary Strand Trace Rifle that comes with some very special perk rolls as of its release inDestiny 2Season of the Wish. It’s got great perks for both PvE and PvP, which means the entire player base has at least one reason to farm for it.

As a weapon that drops only from Trials of Osiris, players are going to have to spend quite some time inDestiny 2’spremier PvP game modein order to get the Incisor. This may turn away some PvE-only players, but those with the guts to fight the best players in the game will be rewarded with an excellent Trace Rifle that’s comparable to a raid weapon.

Best Perks for Incisor

Like all Trace Rifles, Incisor fires at 1000 RPM and consumes Special Ammo ridiculously quickly. Now that thedouble Special meta is gone, ammo management is going to play a key part in using this weapon effectively, especially in PvP. Thankfully, the majority of Incisor’s perks significantly increase the gun’s ammo efficiency, either by increasing its damage or making it more accurate and reliable in a one-on-one duel.

Target Lock

Reload Speed

Sliceinflicts the Sever debuff on up to targets, reducing the damage they deal by ~40% (15% in PvP). This greatly increases the survivability of all fireteam members, and that doesn’t even include other buffs like Restoration and Woven Mail. Pair this withTarget Lockto deal increased damage to a target as long as they’re getting beamed by Incisor. AWarlock with Cenotaph Maskwill be able to take great advantage of both perks thanks to the Exotic helmet’s auto-reload and Special Ammo generation effects.

The weapon can also roll with theSubsistence/Killing Tallycombo as well as theHatchlingperk for added AOE damage and Fragment synergy.

Kill Clip

Stability

As faras the Crucible is concerned, players will want an Incisor with maximum Stability. However, since Trace Rifles have very little bloom and near-perfect accuracy to begin with, the usualDynamic Sway/TTScombo won’t be as valuable here. Instead, you should look to getting an Incisor withZen Momentto minimize Flinch and Reticle Bounce. With Zen Moment active, you’ll be able to hit your beam more consistently since your screen won’t bounce around as much. Pair this with any damage perk like Kill Clip, Killing Tally, or Target Lock.

The barrel, magazine, and Masterwork will provide you with 100 Stability right off the bat. When coupled with the gun’s innate 100 Aim Assist stat, the Incisor will feel incredibly consistent within its intended engagement range of ~30 meters.
