As with all looter shooters, one of the main draws ofDestiny 2is all the rare and valuable loot players can collect, like theIron Remembrance armor. As part of the new Season of the Worthy, over a dozen classic armor sets have returned to the world drop pool.

However, manyDestiny 2players quickly noticed that these old armor sets couldn’t use any of the new seasonal mods, making them fairly useless compared to the newer, exotic armor sets Xur has for sale. Bungie has decided to fix that, and an update coming in April will add seasonal mod slots to over a dozen old armor sets.

As part of Season of the Worthy, players can clear new bunkers, upgrade them, andgrind for new weapons like Point of the Stag. Players can also collect several old armor sets that were updated for Armor 2.0 and added to the world loot pool, meaning they could be dropped from basically anything or anywhere in the game world. Despite the upgrade, seasonal mods like Charged with Light and the new Warmind Cell mods could not be added to these classic armor sets. As cool as these old armor sets looked, they were pretty much useless compared to the newer sets.

Thankfully, all 17 of the returning armor sets will be receiving seasonal mod slots in the update scheduled for next month, which will likely also fix somemajor bugs. However, only six of them will receive Season of Dawn slots. The other 11 will receive Season of the Undying mod slots. The reason for this split is due tothe new three-season cycle for seasonal mods.

The wayDestiny 2’s three-season cycle works is that mod slots can accept mods from the season before and after they were released in. For example, Season of Dawn mod slots can use both Season of the Undying and Season of the Worthy mods. Season of the Undying mod slots, though, cannot use Season of the Worthy mods. That means only six of these armor sets can use Warmind Cell mods available this season, but all of the classic armor sets will be able to use Charged with Light builds.

The three faction sets will also be receiving Season of the Worthy mod slots as part of the same update. For those wondering, the six specific armor sets that will be getting Season of Dawn mod slots are Dead End Cure, Retro-Grade TG2, Heiro Camo, Road Complex AA1, Devastation Complex, and High-Minded Complex. Those receiving Season of the Undying mod slots, meanwhile, include Red Moon Phantom, Mimetic Savior, Thorium Holt, and more.

Destiny 2is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
