Summary

It seemsCyberpunk 2077’s 2.0 update still contains some minor bugs, as a player has come across police officers who drive around in fully destroyed vehicles. AfterCyberpunk 2077’s disastrous 2020 launch, developer CD Projekt Red has been steadily improving the futuristic RPG with patches and fixes, even moving on from the PS4 and Xbox One generation for the 2.0 update andPhantom LibertyDLC.

WithCyberpunk 2077now in a much improved state the game has been enjoying a successful second wind upon the release of its substantialPhantom Libertystory expansion and new 2.0 features. The DLC, which stars Hollywood actor Idris Elba as Solomon Reed, opens players up to a wholenew area of Night City named Dogtown. It’s here that most of the events of the massive 15-20 hour DLC take place. Additionally,Cyberpunk’s impressive 2.0 update overhauls the game’s skill tree and perks systems, improves enemy AI, and adds a deep vehicular combat system.

Even with all the bug fixes and improved stabilityCyberpunk 2077has brought to the table over the years, especially with the fresh 2.0 update, it seems some smaller bugs are still an inevitability with an RPG this large. On Reddit, a user named Crowzer pointed out a minor bug they’ve been coming across that hasNight City police officers cruising around the cityin fully destroyed squad cars. In the particular image posted by Crowzer, the cop car, inhabited by two police officers, is missing all four doors, all of its wheels, and is scorched to a crisp.

Under the Reddit post Crowzer did mention that they have two mods installed which could potentially be responsible for this ruined police car bug. However, another commenter added that they’ve seen the very same bug three times within 20 hours with no mods installed. The theory that the bug is from the game itself and not caused by mods was further strengthened when another player chimed in about seeing the bug after starting a new game withCyberpunk’s 2.0 update applied. The same player expressed that while it would be for the best to see these smaller, funnier bugs fixed, they’d be sad to see them go.

This glitched out cop car surely isn’t a backbreaker of a bug, asCyberpunk 2077had been plagued with far worse game breaking bugs in the past, especially when it was first released in December 2020. There’s no question that sentiment surrounding the RPG has vastly improved since then. Hopefully CD Projekt Red will be able to stamp out some of these last remaining smaller bugs as the game approaches its final state andCD Projekt looks ahead towardThe Witcher 4andCyberpunk’s sequel.
