Summary

Christian Bale’s Batman was given a classic blue and gray comic book look in a new toy, and fans can confidently say Christopher Nolan’s version of the suit was much better.

This year, Warner Bros. is celebrating 100 years of storytelling. September 16th wasBatmanDay, and as a part of Warner Bros.' 100 years of storytelling, they made sure to go all out this year and extend the celebration all month. As one of the many ways to celebrate, fans can preorder an all-new Batman action figure from Hot Toys. The officialBatmanX account posted pictures of the figure and a link to preorder it. The figure, which stands at 12.59 inches, is of Christian Bale’s Batman with “a Batsuit that highlights its metallic blue and matte grey color scheme with a finely tailored fabric cape; signature bat gadgets including EMP rifle with LED light-up function, sticky bomb gun, grapnel gun, batarangs, mini mines.”

The figure was met with many negative reactions. One user commented bluntly, “Looks terrible I’m ngl,” while another user’s comment proves that fans of the comic suit that it is based on don’t even like the figure, “I’m usually a shill for the blue and gray, but it does not work here man.” Even fans who didn’t like Nolan’s original design for the suit think this is a downgrade, with one user saying, “The Nolan suit somehow looks worse now.”

The question of which actor was the bestBatman and which suit is the best Batsuithas been heavily debated by fans for a long time. It’s almost refreshing to see fans come together and agree that this might be the worst-looking bat suit. However, it is a shame for action-figure fans that they won’t get something much better for Batman Month.

Some fans said the suit could have been improved if they had simply made the cape blue, like the cowl and gloves, instead of gray. Many others think that the suit and color combination is a match made in hell and they should have gone with a different color scheme with that suit, such as black and gray, or put the blue and gray on a different suit, specifically Ben Affleck’s Batsuitsuit forBatmanv. Superman.
