The franchise’s next major installment isMonster Hunter Wilds, and fans will supposedly be able to learn more about the upcoming title soon.
In a recent video statement welcoming the new year, longtimeMonster Hunterseries producer Ryozo Tsujimoto claimed that the next announcement forMonster Hunter Wildsshould come out in summer 2024. Tsujimoto, who took the time to thank fans and ask for their continued support, also revealed that the team is deep in development and working towards the game’s release. Capcom gave a 2025 release date whenMonster Hunter Wildswas first shown off to the world at The Game Awards 2023.

Not a lot of information regarding the highly anticipatedMonster Huntertitle has been released so far, and it was speculated thatMonster Hunter Wildswould stay in the shadows for most of 2024so Capcom could concentrate on the March release ofDragon’s Dogma 2. Capcom’s reveal trailer also showed thatMonster Hunter Wildscould have dynamic weather events, a feature that would drastically change theMonster Hunterexperience if implemented. Any veteran of the series knows the importance of preparation prior to a hunt, and that includes factoring in things like weapon loadouts, map routes, and even pre-fight meals. Weather events could add a whole new layer of gameplay forMonster Hunter Wildsas it would force players to adapt to uncontrollable conditions during hunts.
