Since battle royale games became popular, a common feature has been Limited-Time Modes, or LTMs. LTMs in battle royales allow players to experience twists on the standard gameplay of their favorite battle royale game, and it seems likeCall of Duty: Warzonewill soon have some LTMs of its own. A newCall of Duty: Warzonegame mode has leaked online thanks to dataminers, detailing an LTM called High Action.
The High Action mode inCall of Duty: Warzoneappears to retain the same basic rules as the standard battle royale, but looks to make things a lot more action-packed and chaotic. When playing theCall of Duty: WarzoneHigh Action mode, players can expect more money to spawn on theWarzonemap, more legendary crates, and more Killstreak drops. This should ensure that even more players are fully decked-out throughout the match and lead to especially chaotic firefights.

It’s unclear exactly when theWarzoneHigh Action LTM will come to the game.Infinity Ward releases new updates forCall of Dutyon a weekly basis, and so it’s quite possible that High Action’s debut is just a couple of days away. Then again, it’s also possible that Infinity Ward is saving the High Action mode for later on or may not bother to add it to the game at all.
If theWarzoneHigh Action mode does come to the game, one has to wonder if it will replace thePlunder modeor if Plunder is meant to be a permanent fixture in the game. It’s unclear exactly how popular Plunder is compared to the main battle royale mode, but Infinity Ward has come under fire in the past for replacing popular modes inModern Warfare, so hopefully it avoids a similar controversy withWarzone.
In the meantime, there may be other new content coming toCall of Duty: Warzonethat fans may be more interested in than High Action. Dataminers have found evidence thatWarzoneis adding more team size optionssoon, with Duos and Squads specifically leaked. Duos is self-explanatory, but it’s unclear what Infinity Ward means by “Squads” as the standard 4-player teams wouldn’t be possible with 150 players. It’s been speculated that Infinity Ward will use 5-player squads forWarzoneinstead, or change the player count to 140 or 160 so that it’s evenly divisible by four.
There will be other changes coming toWarzonein the future besides just new game modes. There aremysterious bunkers on theWarzonemapthat will eventually be accessible, so fans will want to keep an eye out.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
