This reveal doesn’t come as a surprise, as it was already confirmed thatSeason 1 ofBlack Ops Cold Warwould receive a gameplay revealat the show. However, it is exciting to finally get a taste of what players will be able to enjoy in just a few days. The new season looks to have an interesting story as its background, and it also comes with new weapons, maps, and more.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warhas received good reviewsthus far, but there have been small complaints, such as not havingCall of Duty: Warzoneintegrated at launch. But some of that is resolved with this Season 1 update. The new map forCall of Duty: Warzonethat comes with Season 1 ofBlack Ops Cold Warlooks to be a remake of Alcatraz, a battle royale map from Blackout, the mode inCall of Duty: Black Ops 4.With the Fireteam mode inBlack Ops Cold War,there is a chance that this map is for that mode, but it seems unlikely. Players have been hoping for a new map inWarzonefor quite some time. Thesuccess ofWarzonehas been undeniable since the battle royale launched in March. But after countless hours of fragging it up together online, fans have been looking for something new, and that’s exactly what Season 1 ofBlack Ops Cold Warlooks to give.
TheCall of Duty: Warzoneintegration (which starts on December 16)doesn’t only bring a new map to the mix, but it should overhaul a lot of the gameplay by bringing in the weapons and features from this year’s mainlineCall of Duty; Black Ops Cold War. While some games, likeFortniteorApex Legends,can provide some interesting changes with new seasons or fresh maps, the idea that Warzone shares implementation with the mainlineCall of Dutymeans that it can get a total overhaul and refresh each year, which is rather exciting.
