Boruto chapter 79 was certainly intense and one of the most incredible ones that the fans have gotten to read in quite a while. Borutochapter 79 was the epitome of that and delivered one of the greatest shocks in the entireNarutofranchise to the fans. With Boruto and Kawakinow having switched places, the plot is finally starting to move towards what the prologue teased. With that, all eyes will now be onBorutochapter 80 as it is going to be incredibly important to further the story towards the timeskip.
Boruto Chapter 80: Boruto’s Escape
Boruto chapter 80 will most certainly focus on the escape of Boruto Uzumaki fromthe village of Konoha. As Momoshiki finally explained the situation to him, Boruto will take some time to comprehend what’s happening around him. Fans know that heis currently engaging Mitsukiin combat, however, Boruto is most certainly not going to fight back against his dear friend. It is possible that Sarada will try to intervene and give Boruto an opportunity to break free from Mitsuki, at the very least. Sarada knowing the truth about Boruto is going to be key for him.
She can relay the truth that she knows to other people and some might switch sides to Boruto’s team. Mitsuki appears to be one such character, however, to get his support, Boruto will first need to escape from him. The next chapter of the manga could see Boruto break free from combat against Mitsuki, who could then be told about the actual situation by Sarada. Of course, Mitsuki is not the only danger that Boruto is faced with right now. Fans know that Boruto is the target of the entire village and every single Jonin is currently on his back. This means that even if Boruto does manage to escape from Mitsuki, he will have to face the brunt of the force fromthe majority of Konoha shinobi, including some elites, such as Shikamaru, as well.

Boruto Chapter 80: Sasuke Steps In
WhileBorutochapter 80 could see him be faced by a strong force composed of mighty Konoha ninja, it will also see him escape from their grasp, most likely. This is because Boruto needs to get stronger and he cannot do that in captivity. Fans also know that quite a lot of time passes to the point where the prologue of the series starts and Boruto is already very powerful at that point. As such, two things are very clear to the fans. The first is that Boruto will not die here and the second is that he manages to escape somehow. At the moment, there doesn’t appear to be any opening for him to escape, however, with some aid from allies, Boruto can well and truly escape and then reformulate his strategy.

Sarada, as discussed earlier, could be one potential ally, however, she certainly is not enough to secure his escape. This is where Sasuke comes in. While in the previous chapter, Momoshiki mentioned that only Sarada remains unaffected, it is possible that Sasuke is just playing along and has actually not been affected by Eida’s power. If that is the case, then fans will certainly see him come into action and defend the pupil that he holds very dear to his heart. Sasuke could defend Boruto against the Hidden Leaf Village and this could very well put him at odds with his own people. To them, Sasuke would just be defending someone who killed Naruto and, knowing his history, this could put him in danger as well.
Boruto Chapter 80: Kawaki’s Power
Borutochapter 80 is likely going to focus quite a bit on Kawaki as well. He took a lot of attention inBorutochapter 79, along with Eida. It is possible that he’s going to play a very important role inBorutochapter 80 as well, given that he is one of the two people who had their places switched. Fans could see Kawaki live the life that he always wanted, thanks to Eida. Kawaki was not born with much and, even in Konoha, he was second to Boruto in the vast majority of things. Now, he will enjoy the same love that Boruto enjoyed and the treatment that he gets now will certainly be a lot different.
At the same time, fans could also see the connection between Kawaki and Eida building. Eida is deeply in love with Kawaki, however, the feelings have not been retaliated so far. Despite that, Eida practically did him a great favor and she did all of this simply because she was in love with him. It is expected of Kawaki to warm up to her and make her his biggest ally. As such,Borutochapter 80 could focus on the budding bond between these two characters. This also means that his bond will Daemon will also grow. As expected, the upcoming chapter is going to tackle a lot of events at once and fans are already waiting in anticipation for it. The story has never been this engaging and, from here onwards, fans can only hope that Kishimoto and Ikemoto make the right decisions.

Boruto is a monthly manga and, therefore, will not be released anytime soon.Boruto chapter 80 is expected to be released on July 29, 2025. Fans can read the chapter for free on the MangaPlus and the Shounen jump app.
