The Mandalorianseason 2 brought back some familiar faces toStar Warsfans. One of those familiar characters was the iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett, who debuted in theStar Wars Holiday Specialseveral decades ago.
The Mandalorianfollows a Mandalorian by the name of Din Djarin, who was tasked with the protection of a child who belonged to the same race as Yoda named Grogu. As fans know,Grogu is also very giftedin the ways of the Force and is capable of lifting several tons of weight even at his early stage of training.

InThe Mandalorianseason 2,Boba Fett returned from the dead, as many thought the bounty hunter was long gone when he fell in the Sarlac Pitt. Fortunately, Boba Fett returned andStar Warsbrought back a character who was otherwise underutilized in the canon. There are so many characters that didn’t get enough justice in terms of storytelling, and Boba Fett was one of the main ones.Brian Matyasfrom character design development at Lucasfilm shared concept art of Boba Fett that ditched his iconic green and red armor for a more nomadic black clad armor with less flashy aesthetics. This armor looks perfect for traversing a harsh terrain like Tattoie or even engaging in deadly warfare. It’s unclear what made them go with the cloth linen look that the character appeared in forThe Mandalorianseason 2, but it was a look that ended up working very well.
The Mandalorianseason 2 saw the story arcbetween Din Djarin and Grogu come to an end, but the recently releasedTheBook of Boba Fettreunited the duo, so it’s unclear as to how this will factor inThe Mandalorian’sthird season. There’s also a possibility that season 2 will show what Din Djarin was doing while Grogu was gone, but it’s also possible that the show will also just bring viewers up to speed in case they didn’t watchThe Book of Boba Fett.
Many are hoping for a lot of new and familiar faces inthe highly-anticipated third season ofThe Mandalorian,but of course plot details are under wraps (rightfully so). The new season will no doubt have many surprises and of course further develop the character as he journeys on a new path.
