Ahead of releasingWorld of Warcraft: Shadowlands, Blizzard has partnered with Blue Microphones to create a unique new microphone to add a bit of extra immersion to game chats. The Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition USB microphone will spice up how players communicate with each other and add a bit of flair to any content creator’s streams or projects.
This new version of the Yeti X microphone is bringing all the original features of the Yeti X as well as a new exclusive feature that adds aWorld of Warcrafttwist. The new Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition microphone includes a voice modulator that can alter a player’s voice to sound like different residents ofAzeroth. Players will be able to choose from a number of different character effects to take their gaming experience to the next level.

In addition to the voice modulator, players with the Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition microphone will have access to a Blizzard HD sample library consisting of hundreds of audio samples from theWarcraftuniverse as well asWorld of Warcraft: Shadowlands. This library ofWarcraftsounds can be assigned to keybindings which will allowWarcraftcreators and streamersto activate them easily. Doug Sharp, Senior Project Manager of Gaming at Blue Microphones, said in the press release, “we’re [Blue Microphones] excited to see how gamers and streamers will use the new voice modulation effect and the Blizzard HD sample library to entertain audiences and create epic streams.”
To further set this new Yeti X microphone apart from the standard version, the Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition microphone features a customWorld of Warcraftdesign. The microphone has a matte Battle Grey finish and features gold accents around the base and near the top of the microphone as well a gold Blue Microphones logo. For added presentation, the microphone features runes on its base and laser-etched runes around the 11-segment LED meter featured on the Yeti X line of microphones.Horde and Alliance factioncolor presets are included for the LED lights located around the smart knob, which allows players to adjust gain, headphone volume, and more.
The Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition microphone will be available later this month and retail for $199.99. World of Warcraft: Shadowlandsis Blizzard’s eighth expansion for its massively popular MMO title. The latest expansion is preparing to take players to the Shadowlands, which is the resting place for mortals, also known as the afterlife, in theWarcraftuniverse. Along with additions to the game world, player’s characters will be affected as well asBlizzard is squishing the level cap from 120 down to 50.
