Currently, the video game industry is in the midst of a remake, remaster, and reimagining eruption. With theremake ofResident Evil 4coming soon, along with others of this ilk, such asDead SpaceandThe Last Of Us: Part 1, the opportunity to use new technology and more modern development techniques to revive old games has never been more golden.Bloodborneis another title that some feel could do with the remaster treatment, but however much fans would like one, it looks as though it’s not happening. At least not for the time being.That’s according to a tweet from renowned Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier. Recently, he responded to someone on Twitter who asked him when he would be leaking information about a supposed upcomingBloodborneremaster. Last year, some fans began to believe that aremastered version ofBloodbornewas in development and was being helmed by Bluepoint Games, who have worked on such projects asUncharted: The Nathan Drake Collectionand theMetal Gear Solid: HD Collection. While fans may be disappointed about Schreier’s response, it doesn’t mean the game won’t get a remaster at some point, but there are apparently currently no official plans.
As a PS4 exclusive title, many gamers unfortunately missed out on playingBloodborne. It’s aPlayStation exclusive title that some would like to see come to PC, as well as the PS5. As beloved as the game is and has been since it released in 2015, there are possibly many would-be-fans out there who would relish the opportunity to play one of the previous generation’s most revered FromSoftware releases.
WithElden Ringbecoming one of the highest rated games ever, the Soulsborne formula is still proving popular. Some may be disappointed that aBloodborneremaster doesn’t seem likely, at least not for the foreseeable future. Then again, some may feel that the game is fine as it is and doesn’t need any visual tweaking. In any case, many would probably agree that the game not being available on any other system apart from the PS4 is the developer simply leaving money on the table.
