Dragon Ball Z: KakarotDLC 1 introduced a new challenge to players in the form of Beerus, the God of Destruction. Beerus' boss fight is unlike any other in the game, in that his techniques are both incredibly powerful and difficult to predict. This, paired with his seemingly random behavior and lack of an easily identifiable pattern, make him easily themost challenging fight inDBZ: Kakarot. Players wishing to take him down will need to be at the maximum level and have unlocked and fully leveled up the Super Saiyan God form to even stand a chance against him.

That said, despite his overwhelming power and challenging mechanics, players can take down even Beerus with ease with the right amount of preparation and a good build.Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotgives the player all the tools they need to really power up their characters beyond what seems like their limits, and understanding how to do this as well as going into the fight with the right build are vital to taking down Beerus and netting an easy and fast S Rank. This is especially useful for those players that want to max out characters other than Vegeta and Goku, as Beerus rewards 20 Ultimate Sacred Waters.

DBZ: Kakarot Beerus Know-How Skills Build

Choosing the right Know-how skills is necessary for players that want to topple the God of Destruction. Since both Goku and Vegeta have access to the exact same list of these skills, this portion of the build is the same. There are several skills which either won’t come into play or arecompletely ineffective against Beerus(such as Merciless and Battle Instincts, which only affect enemies that are lower or higher level than the player). These skills can be skipped over.

Instead, the player should equip only those skills which give them an edge in the fight. The most important skills to include in the build are Brick Wall, which prevents staggering while in Surge mode, King of Ki, which reduces Ki consumption when using super attacks,Auto Super Saiyan God, which starts the player off in Super Saiyan God form and causes the form to not drain Ki, and Multi-hit Master, which raises damage dealt at high combo levels. Players can also include Unbridled Power, which significantly increases damage at the cost of HP drain, as this fight shouldn’t take long. Finally, skills like Self-medication, Full Tilt, Indomitable Spirit, and Destructive Blow may end up coming in handy.

DBZ: Kakarot Community Boards and Meals

Community Boardswill also play a huge role in the players' success. There are two main community boards which should be maxed out, as well as two others which are helpful but not entirely necessary. For starters, the Z Warrior Community and the Cooking Community need to be at the maximum level of 10. This will provide the player with a 7% boost to Melee and Ki ATK stats as well as the maximum boost available from food. The Training and Adventure Communities also are helpful, as they provide 7% to Melee DEF, Ki DEF, HP, and Ki.

Assuming these are maxed, the next step is for players to head to Goku’s house and get some of Chi-Chi’s homemade cooking. Though the permanent stat boosts from thesefull course mealsdon’t amount to much, the temporary benefits are simply massive. With a maxed out cooking board and eating the best meals available, the player can get a whopping 67% boost to HP and Ki, a 52% boost to Melee ATK, Ki ATK, Melee DEF, and Ki DEF, and a 15% boost to Critical Hits. These stat boosts are vital to taking Beerus out quickly.

Vegeta VS Beerus Strategy

Before attempting the fight, battle Whis a few timesuntil the Surge gauge is full. After this, be sure to rest up so as to be at full HP and Ki for the start of the fight. Approach Beerus and begin the match. The first thing the player should do is activate Surge by charging Ki. With all the numerous stat boosts and the help of Brick Wall, Vegeta should then be able to defeat Beerus simply by using God Heat Flash repeatedly until the fight is won.

God Heat Flash hits five times before dissipating, so be sure to count the number of hits before pressing the movie again to initiate the next attack. Additionally, the first hit of the move has a chance to land twice if the player is right next to Beerus, which they will be after teleporting next to him, so there may occasionally even be 6 hits. Beerus' attacks won’t be able to stagger Vegeta thanks to Brick Wall, but his knockback effect before entering his enraged mode will. Simply recover from the knockback, wait for Beerus' cutscene to finish, and then resume the assault, ignoring whatever attacks Beerus decides to use.

Goku VS Beerus Strategy

Ironically, this is a lot harder to pull off with Goku than with Vegeta for a couple of reasons. For one, Goku’s new super attack, God Kamehameha, works differently than Vegeta’s. As long as the player holds the attack, the beam will continue firing, steadily draining Goku’s Ki. This doesn’t work well with the Surge technique, so it is actually better to useGoku’s Limit Breaker Kamehameha. The same plan will work, simply continue using the attack on Beerus, but due to its lower damage, it will take a lot longer. Additionally, Vegeta has a much higher Ki ATK stat than Goku, who instead favors the Melee ATK stat.

In addition, Goku will definitely need Unbridled Power in order to KO Beerus fast enough for an S Rank, so he will sustain a lot more damage and the process is much riskier. The God Kamehameha does work, but since Beerus moves around a lot, the player will waste a lot of their Surge time reusing the ability. All of that said, either of these techniques will easily enable the player to get S Ranks against Beerus either for personal satisfaction or tofarm Ultimate Sacred Waters.
