Batman: Arkham Knightreleased six years ago, and fans have itched since to step back into the cape and cowl. ThoughRocksteady’sBatman: Arkhamseriesmay not have been heralded for its cosmetic skins to the same standard asMarvel’s Spider-ManorMarvel’s Avengers, it still maintains an exquisite catalog of nostalgic and influential suits from comic books and films alike.
Gotham KnightsandSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguelead the charge forward for AAA DC-related titles, but fans miss the direct playability and influence of Batman in particular. However,Matt Reeves’The Batmanfilmhas stirred that excitement in a gulf of explicit Batman-related content. One fan has since created an edit that imagines what the movie’s iteration of the Caped Crusader would look like in video game form.

Twitter user Freezelizard shares a creative edit that adapts Robert Pattinson’sThe Batmansuit into a cosmetic skin forBatman: Arkham Knight.Batman: Arkham Knight’s high fidelityis unparalleled in theArkhamseries and has made fantastic cosmetic adaptations from Batman’s live-action movies. But with Pattinson’s suit having been recently revealed and shown off inThe Batman’s trailers, Freezelizard has decided to rectify the fact that it is not currently included inBatman: Arkham Knight.
Freezelizard’s edit superimposesThe Batman’s unique, tactical outfit overtop ofBatman: Arkham Knight’s hulking character model of Batman and the distinction in body types is alarming. While Ben Affleck’s body-builder aesthetic for Bruce Wayne was convincingly and officially adapted into theBatman V Supermancosmetic forBatman: Arkham Knight, Pattinson’s physique is much thinner and less reliant upon bulging muscles. Therefore,The Batman’s suit is noticeably filled out in the fan’s mock-up to compensate for the larger character model.
BecauseBatman: Arkham Knightincludes cosmetic skinsfor nearly every other live-action Batman suit, withoutBatman Begins' suit included, it is only fitting that a fan shares interest inThe Batman’s inclusion. Indeed, many fans wonder whetherBatman: Arkham Knightcould feature an update early next year that addsThe Batman’s suit as a cosmetic and coincides with the movie’s release, especially because the lack of current Batman-centric titles would otherwise miss the opportunity to feature the cosmetic in a timely manner.
Fans' admiration for Rocksteady’sBatman: Arkhamseries remains prevalent to this day and edits like Freezelizard’s are evidence that players would be satisfied with continued updates toBatman: Arkham Knightif it meant they could use them to enjoy new entries and iterations to the Batman mythology.
Batman: Arkham Knightis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
