Summary
A newDestiny 2ornament idea would allow players to wield a gun inspired by one ofDoom Eternal’siconic weapon designs. Bungie introduces new weapon ornaments every season inDestiny 2, and the developers occasionally allows players to vote for ornament designs that could appear in the game.
Destiny 2’sweapon ornamentsare a point of contention among some fans due to Bungie’s monetization practices involving the Eververse shop. Fortunately, many weapon ornaments may be acquired by progressing the Season Pass, completing certain quests, and opening Bright Engrams inDestiny 2. In addition, Bungie gathers feedback on potential ornament ideas through its blog posts and community voting events.

Destiny 2fan Cerberusx32 created an original concept for aDoom EternalSuper Shotgun weapon ornament forthe Conditional Finality Exotic shotgun. Both weapons share the traditional double-barreled shotgun design, so the user thought the ornament idea would be well-received in the community. The Conditional Finality ornament mock-up includes the Super Shotgun’s signature “meat hook,” which allows players to use a grappling hook in Doom Eternal. Although the Exotic weapon does not have a grappling hook, players could use the Strand subclass to grapple and swing across the air.
InDestiny 2,players may acquire the Conditional Finality Exotic shotgun by completing the final boss encounter inthe Root of Nightmares raid. The drop rate for this particular shotgun is low each week, but those lucky enough to receive the Exotic weapon drop may immediately use it across all in-game activities. Conditional Finality is one of the fewDestiny 2weapons with multiple elements at its disposal. The Exotic shotgun’s dual barrels shoot Stasis and Solar rounds.
AlthoughDestiny 2collaborated with titles such asFortnite,Assassin’s Creed, andFall Guys, these collaborations did not include new weapon ornaments. Cerberusx32’s new ornament idea for Conditional Finality demonstrates some of the untapped potential for futureDestiny 2collaborations. A Super Shotgun ornament for Conditional Finality could entice more players to team up and complete the Root of Nightmares raid as well. This would also address the Conditional Finality’s lack of weapon ornaments since the weapon only has one, “Erinyes-SG1,” as ofDestiny 2Season of the Deep.
Conditional Finality has not received a catalyst inDestiny 2, so this may be an idea that Bungie could consider at some point in the future. A new catalyst and weapon ornament could make the raid Exotic weapon highly sought-after for multiple seasons, but the decision of which items recieve ornaments is ultimately left up to Bungie.
Destiny 2is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
