Just a few days afterAtomic Heart’s original launch, the developer Mundfish comes with two new patches, bringing significant improvements to the first-person shooter title. Patches 1.3.3.0 and 1.3.3.1 will fix several small yet important bugs thatAtomic Heartplayers faced since its release.
Atomic Heartis a sci-fi shooter from the Cyprus-based game developer Mundfish. It’s set in a utopian version of the Soviet Union where a massive technological revolution took place. The world faced unparalleled prosperity, but then for some reason, the machines went mad and started killing people. The game combines FPS gameplay with RPG elements and allows the player to employ an arsenal of both unique and improvised weapons to crush different enemies. So far,Atomic Hearthas been compared toBioShockdue to using an alternate history setting and similar gameplay elements. The title has achieved somewhat positive reviews so far, but it has a few bugs to squash.

Now, Mundfish has released acouple of bug-fixing patches forAtomic Heart. They come after a previous patch, which was released soon after the game’s debut. The update notes for patch 1.3.3.0 show improvements on both quests, visuals, audio, gameplay, and user interface. Some highlights include fixes for game-breaking problems during the Ballerina boss fight and one issue that was preventing players from finishing the “A Glass, Darkly” quest. Gameplay fixes include no longer allowing some players to have infinite jumps and a few missing map objects that simply didn’t appear before.
PC players are probably the ones that will get the most out of the patch. They will gain a new frame cap limit of 500 now, and the second patch, 1.3.3.1 was specifically for Steam users. This bug-fixing update implemented a new fix for problems that were specific to the platform, such as environment objects that got stuck.
The patch notes also tease upcoming improvements, such as FOV settings and better UI. However, what they don’t talk about is something that fans were eagerly expecting. Recently,Atomic Heartwas in a controversy about ray tracing. The devs promoted the feature before launch but did not deliver it. Right now, they promise that they are in talks with Nvidia to get it ready eventually, but there’s no official release date for that yet.
Players who are not too eager to wait for Mundfish’s own fixes can alreadytry out someAtomic Heartmods. There are a few mods with fixes for game issues, as well as some that change gameplay elements. One example is the “Shotgun of Death (KS-23)”, which makes the game’s shotgun more powerful, and gives it infinite ammo.
Atomic Heartis available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
