Over the years,Apex Legendsplayers have made interesting discoveries, set plenty of records, and had plenty of fun when playing with squads, in duos, or even when solo. The latest is anApex Legendsplayer breaking a record set back in 2019, just two weeks after the game launched.
Previously, this record for Solo vs. Squad kills (one player vs. squads) was held by anApex Legendsplayer who goes by Mendokusaii. They managed to get 36 kills in a single match onKings Canyon, the original version of the map, shortly after the game launched. It should be noted that some fans in the community have never really counted this record, because Mendokusaii did have two teammates at the start of the match. They left almost immediately, however, and it should be noted that there was not a “no fill” option for matchmaking at this time.

However one feels about this record, it’s worth mentioning that it has been broken by a player known as Lymo. Using Horizon onApex Legends' Broken Moon map, Lymo managed to wrack up 8,449 damage and 37 kills across a twenty-two-minute match (beating Mendokusaii by one kill). Five minutes into the game, Lymo managed to have 15 kills, but it slowed down slightly from there. Ten minutes in, they were at 23 kills; fifteen minutes in, they were at 29 kills, gathering those last 8 kills in the last eight minutes of the match. Throughout the match, Lymo used the CAR SMG, G7 Scoutn, the Mastiff, andthe reliable R-301.
There were more than a few close calls by Lymo throughout the match, but they managed to come out the other side and break the world record. The final kill was a Lifeline, who held their own fighting against Lymo in the final circle. It was an intense match with a strong ending, and a good way to break this world record. Of course, given how long the originalApex Legendsrecord has been held, it’s not likely anyone tops Lymo anytime soon.
However, ifApex Legendshas proven anything, it’s that anything can go down with each and every single shake-up of the meta. New characters, new maps, and new guns all do that, and it remains to be seen how therumoredApex Legendsseason 16 gun eventually fits into the meta, assuming the leaks are legit.
