It’s hard to ignore the runaway success thatAmong Ushas had in the last couple of years. The popularity of the indie skyrocketed in 2020, and its popularity is ongoing to this day. Originally available for PC and mobile,Among Ushas been brought over to a variety of other platforms, such asthe Nintendo Switch, which only helped to grow its playerbase even more. The developers of the game, Innersloth, have continued to maintainAmong Usand add several new mechanics and content starting last year.

Innersloth has been doing a lot to maintain the game’s community, offering new maps, cosmetics, androles toAmong Us. It also introduced the Cosmicube unlockable system, which is similar to battle passes from other games. In short, the more someone plays, the more XP that will be earned that can be used to unlock certain cosmetics in a branched path. Innersloth is teasing that another Cosmicube will be coming soon, along with some other changes.

This was posted in a recent blog post on the developer’s website, noting the number of changes thatAmong Uswill soon be implementing. The team notes that there will be updates and improvements that weren’t ready for the last update shall be coming in this one. Moreover, the aforementioned newCosmicubeis also teased in the blog post, giving ways for players to spend Stars and Beans that have been saved, the only hint being that it will be “delicious.”

Another change that will be coming is a quality-of-life improvement for players. This is the ability to change maps in the lobby settings, without requiring the player to leave and start a new game again. This will certainly help games ofAmong Usto remain fresh, without inconveniencing the players by needing them to hop out of a game to change the location.

Alongside the changes andcosmetics coming toAmong Us, some issues on the technical side of the game were also discussed. This includes redesigning the store and inventory, but one of these was a new feature that will automatically report when a certain platform or device crashes during a game. The developers also opened up a new Help Center, which will allow players to troubleshoot common issues that crop up in game, or allow them to submit a support ticket to Innersloth if game breaking issues occur.
