Evidence continues to mount for a PC port ofHorizon Zero Dawnbeing not just in development, but nearing release. The latest example is perhaps the most persuasive yet, as it stems from Amazon France. The retailer briefly made live a brand new profile forHorizon Zero Dawnwith “Windows” listed as the game’s platform. The profile was especially notable, as it officially listed Sony as the game’s PC publisher.

TheAmazon listingis notably empty of any official content. There’s no box art, no description, no pre-order information, or anything else except the title, publisher, and platform. That should absolutely bring up red flags. Official art would give the listening an amount of credibility. The information that was available doesn’t lend theHorizon Zero Dawnlisting any credibility whatsoever. Amazon features a grey market that allows third-parties to create these kinds of profiles as they please. Even the reference to the official Sony profile on Amazon could have been placed there with no verification.

There’s certainly a possibility that thisHorizon Zero Dawnprofile was faked. There’s also a possibility that the several other related leaks and rumors related toHorizon Zero Dawncoming to PCare also fake. But the sheer number of rumors, even if they’re independently unreliable, do add some credence to the possibility that it’s true.

For consideration’s sake, a rumor spread in early December 2019 that Sony had plans to expand to PC in a meaningful way.Horizon Zero Dawnwas said to be the firstSony-published PC gamecoming as part of this movement, with a February launch date planned. No substantial evidence was provided to support the rumor.

It should be noted thatHorizon Zero Dawnoriginally launched on PS4on February 28 in 2017. If Sony was panning to bringHorizon Zero Dawnto PC and if the rumor about a February launch is true, then February 28 would be the day to do it.

Whether it’s true thatHorizon Zero Dawnis being ported to PC or if it’s just wishful thinking, the game has clearly inspired quite a following. Between rumors of the PC port and rumors aboutHorizon Zero Dawn 2being in active development, it’s clear that there’s a demand for the game to reach a wider audience. Sony would be intelligent to capitalize on that, but its goals may not align with a PC focus. Fans will likely know one way or another in a relatively short amount of time.

Horizon Zero Dawnis available now on PS4.
