With 181 playable characters available at launch and DLC fighters already confirmed,Dragon Ball: Sparking Zerolooks set to become the most content-richDragon Ballgameever made. This makes sense, really, given how many new characters were introduced in theDragon Ball Superanime and manga.
Granted, Goku and Vegeta make up a significant proportion of the game’s playable characters, but there are still plenty of options for those looking to mix things up a little. EveryDragon Ballseries is well represented, as too are some of the movies, makingDragon Ball: Sparking Zeroa great entry point to theBudokai Tenkaichiseries for both new and returning fans of the franchise.
Updated June 13, 2025, by Tom Bowen:The second DLC pack for Sparking Zero is now available and brings the total number of playable characters up to an incredible 200. Glorio, Panzy, and Majin Kuu are all joining the Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO roster, with Goku and Vegeta also getting new forms. These include Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 3 form from Dragon Ball Daima, which should prove popular with fans of the Saiyan Prince.
