After the success ofAEWRevolution and this week’sDynamite, the company shows no signs of letting up. Next week’sDynamitebroadcast will be the company’s St. Patrick’s Day Slam event, and its card is already shaping up to be pay-per-view worthy with two championships on the line.
This week’sDynamitebroadcast included two matches that would determine the card forAEWSt. Patrick’s Day Slam. Thunder Rosa took on the No. 1 ranked “Legit” Leyla Hirsch to determine who would challenge Dr. Britt Baker DMD for the AEW Women’s World Championship next week. TheTNT Champion Sammy Guevaraput his title on the line against Scorpio Sky to determine who would take on Wardlow at St. Patrick’s Day Slam.

Both the AEW Women’s World Championship and TNT Championship will be on the line at St. Patrick’s Day Slam. The current AEW Women’s World Champion, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, will defend her title in a steel cageagainst Thunder Rosa. Scorpio Sky, who won the TNT Championship from Sammy Guevara on this week’s episode ofDynamite, will defend his championship against the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match winner, Wardlow.
St. Patrick’s Day Slam marks one year since Baker and Rosa’s iconic Unsanctioned Light’s Out, Anything Goes Match. Last year, Rosa picked up the victory over Baker after the two went crashing through a table. The two previously battled atthe Revolution pay-per-viewand Baker managed to score the win over Rosa. Next week, the two will battle in a steel cage in an attempt to limit the interference from Jamie Hayter and Rebel, who typically accompany Baker to the ring.
Sky will come off of his fresh win against Guevara to capture the TNT Championship and will face stiff competition in Wardlow. Sky is the first singles Black male competitor to capture singles gold in AEW, and he is the only person in AEW who has won both the TNT Championship andthe AEW World Tag Team Championship. Sky was one half of SCU, the first-ever AEW World Tag Team Champions, along with Frankie Kazarian. The two held the titles for 83 days before they were defeated by Kenny Omega and Adam Page.
On Sunday, Wardlow defeated five other men in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match to earn a shot at the TNT Championship. Wardlow would appear later in the night at Revolution and cost MJF his win against CM Punk in their Dog Collar Match. Wardlow’s championship match at St. Patrick’s Day Slam might be dashed ifMJF decides to repay the favor. On the other hand, the San Antonio setting for St. Patrick’s Day Slam is Rosa’s backyard and the perfect place for her to become the AEW Women’s World Champion.
